The Founding 100
Sheva is a writing pipeline built by a small independent team. The founding offer is a simple way to fund the product while giving its earliest authors lasting access.
This page states the offer and its current product boundaries without treating planned commerce or fulfillment as finished work.
The offer
- The first 100 members can buy lifetime Author access for $199 once.
- The offer is capped by a database-held seat count.
- There is no monthly subscription tier represented as available today.
- Buying a seat does not publish a manuscript, create a reader order, or submit a print order.
The checkout is for Sheva product access. It is separate from every book-specific purchase or fulfillment operation.
What the current product supports
Author work can move through Loom, Research, Nexus, Snowflake, and Studio into an immutable private edition. That edition can remain private on the owner's Shelf.
An author can also create a public profile, prepare a bounded preview from a ready edition, and deliberately publish an external offer. The public record excludes the full manuscript and private account data. An external purchase does not grant a Sheva entitlement.
The physical-copy boundary
The product models the safe steps needed for a personal copy: separate print artifacts, exact proof approval, a private delivery address, a frozen quote, idempotent operations, and fulfillment history.
The provider-backed step remains disabled until an exact print product and adapter are verified. A founding purchase does not create a print order. If a personal-copy benefit becomes available, it will still require the member to review the print files and approve a separate quote before submission.
What the founding money funds
The founding round funds the work between a coherent private writing product and reliable operations:
- Hardening manuscript recovery, editions, and browser accessibility.
- Verifying print files, products, provider behavior, and support procedures.
- Completing native reader commerce only after payment, refund, entitlement, payout, and moderation rules are proven.
- Publishing careful product and craft material instead of making promises ahead of the implementation.
Why the cap is 100
A small capped group keeps the lifetime obligation legible and gives the team a realistic chance to answer early members directly. The cap is a product constraint, not a countdown clock.
The current risk ledger
- Private manuscripts and immutable private editions are implemented in the isolated product build.
- Public creator profiles and deliberate external-offer releases are implemented locally and still require deployment before they are available on the public site.
- Native reader checkout, Sheva book entitlements, author payouts, and general physical sales are not being sold as available.
- The print provider path has not passed the required product, adapter, and physical-proof gates.
- EPUB export and native mobile apps are not current capabilities.
Those limits are part of the offer. A seat supports the product as it exists and as it is built; it is not evidence that every planned capability has launched.
How to take a seat
If the founding checkout shows availability, the offer is one payment of $199 for lifetime Author access. Read the checkout description as the purchase contract; book orders and provider charges require separate approval.
FAQ
Is the founding seat a subscription? No. It is the current one-time lifetime-access offer.
Does it include a print order now? No order is created at checkout. A personal-copy benefit can operate only after the print service is enabled and a separate proof and quote are approved.
Does buying a seat publish my work? No. Manuscripts and editions remain private unless their owner completes the separate preview and publication flow.
Can readers buy my book through Sheva? Native reader commerce remains closed. An author may publish a reviewed external offer, whose provider owns checkout and access.
